When we gathered the ewes and lambs for shearing, we suddenly realized that one lamb was missing. We began searching both crofts, hoping to find it safe. Thankfully, our dear neighbor Nick spotted lamb No. 50 and helped bring him back to the flock.

Poor No. 50 had become tangled in old wire and was frightened, dehydrated, and hungry — but, to our relief, he was alive. Colin carried him carefully across the field to the car, and he rode the short way to Hebcrub on my lap, ready to be reunited with his flock.
To help us keep a close eye on him, we marked him with a stripe along his back. He is doing very well now and has earned the name “Stripey Harry” — with grateful thanks to Nick.
