Last Updated 02/05/2026

These Terms & Conditions are applicable to accommodation bookings on our Bothies.

Bothy Bookings – Most reservations are processed via booking.com; including cancellations and payments.

Direct Booking – Please submit booking requests by email to info@bonniebraecroft.com or bonniebraecroft@outlook.com. A booking is considered valid only upon acceptance and confirmation via email.

Direct Booking Cancellation – Guests may cancel their booking up to 14 days prior to arrival without incurring any charges. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the arrival date will result in payment of the full booking amount. In cases of no-show or booking reduction after the arrival date, the total cost of the booking remains payable in full.

Direct Booking Payment - Full payment in pounds sterling (GBP) is required 14 days prior to arrival or check-in. A secure payment link will be provided along with your booking confirmation.

Check-in – Self check-in is from 4pm (16.00) onwards. The key to the bothy will be found in the key box beside the entrance door. The code will be sent prior to arrival.

Check-out is by 10am. This policy is strict unless we have pre-arranged with the booking or during the stay. On departure the key has returned to the same box.

Internet – High-speed WiFi is available in the bothies free of charge.

Croft visits – Only on request. Please enquire before visiting us.

Pet Policy – No pets or animals are permitted on Bonnie Brae Croft or in any of our bothies.

No Smoking Policy – Smoking on the croft and in the bothies is not permitted. However, in the gated bothy area you will find outside ashtray.

Open fires / BBQ – because we are a working croft, open fires, candles and/or BBQ are not tolerated on the croft or in the bothies.

Room Occupancy -  Each bothy accommodates a maximum of two guests, either two adults or one adult and one child. Please note that children between the ages of two and sixteen years cannot be accommodated.

Infant Cots – We don’t supply any infant cots. We can only except a child under 2 years in a travel cot.

Accessibility – Unfortunately, our croft and bothies are not suitable for wheelchair access. There are gravel tracks and steps to negotiate on entry and exit the bothies.

Damage Policy - The guest is liable for any damage howsoever caused in the bothies or the croft caused by the guest or any persons in the guest’s party during their stay. Bonnie Brae Croft reserves the right to charge such amounts as it shall in its sole discretion deem fit to compensate or make good the loss, damage, costs or expenses incurred or suffered by Bonnie Brae Croft because of the aforesaid.

Liability - We accept no liability for any losses or additional or unexpected expenses incurred because of scheduled transport delays, personal injury, sickness, weather, industrial action, war or act of terrorism or act of God or any other event entirely beyond our control. Your vehicles, their accessories and contents and your personal possessions are left entirely at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage from or to any vehicle or personal possession from any cause whatsoever. We will not be liable to you where we have exercised reasonable care and skill in our provision of the bothies to you.

Other guests / croft livestock - You will ensure there is no unreasonable amount of noise within your bothies, particularly late at night.

We reserve the right to terminate your Booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where you engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes disturbance or nuisance to us or other guests on our premises. You will behave reasonably during your stay and not cause danger or significant annoyance to others or damage to property.
